Sphynx guarantee, shipping, and how to reserve:
Breeding quality healthy kittens without cutting corners cost money. Remember quality cost more. Vet bills can rack up quickly. Getting a healthy cat is far more valuable then any "savings" from a breeder who does not put their cats first. These prices are the bare minimum I can reasonably charge without going bankrupt. Remember I am a small breeder. I do not breed for quantity but quality. A healthy cat from a responsible breeder will ultimately cost less.

What Goes Into Your Sphynx Kitten Cost:
Cost of purchasing a breeder: Breeding quality kittens can cost 2-3 times the cost of a normal pet kitten. Finding the right kitten is even harder. It is a task that should take many years. Careful thought should be paid to the kittens pedigree. Attention to details related to the kittens structure, health, and temperament should also be given.
Cost of feeding: We feed all our cats a grain free meat based diet. Cat's are carnivorous and many cheap cat foods today that are high in grain's contribute to feline obesity. Grains have also been linked to urinary blockages and crystals. Food cost for an entire cattery can cost $2,000 plus dollars per year. Remember, like pregnant women, pregnant cats eat more food than a regular cat.
Cost of Heating: New born Sphynx kittens cannot regulate their heat. This Means the house must be kept at 89 plus degrees. This can raise the electric bill by hundreds of dollars! Thousands over the year. Once the kittens get older they can be kept at the same temperature that you personally feel comfortable. After leaving my home kittens/adult Sphynx need to be kept at the same temperature you feel comfortable at without your clothes on.
Cost of HCM scanning: We scan all of our cat's for HCM. HCM scanning can run 300-600 dollars per cat. This is done every year.
Vet cost: We all know how costly vets can be. If you breed you must be come closely acquainted with the vet. Making sure your cats are ready for breeding. Making sure they test negative for cat diseases. Running DNA test on all our cats so you get the healthiest kittens all cost money.
Total Kitten cost: Once you add together all the cost of being a responsible breeder your kittens become quite costly. Ethical breeders hope to simply break even. Breeding the Sphynx is very labor intensive. Raising quality Sphynx is nothing like breeding a typical barn cat. New born Sphynx kittens are more like small children.
Cost of keeping fresh blankets laundered daily: I personally hate seeing kittens laying in filthy old rags. This is a minimal cost but an important one.
The hours of work: We must change litter everyday. We have all stainless steel bowls that must be cleaned daily. We give access to multiple types of food that require special preparation. We use water fountains which are also changed daily. We wash and replenish kitten beds and blankets on a weekly to daily basis. Weekly for beds and daily for blankets when we have kittens.

Sphynx Sound Expensive. Will I Have All These Cost?
No! Breeding cost more due to the fact you have more cats. You will not be dealing with new born babies who cannot regulate their body heat. Heating your house to 89 degrees is very expensive. Pregnant Sphynx also need additional care. Resulting in vet visits and routine check ups.
You will be getting the finished product of a labor of love. There is no money in breeding. If you added all the cost up you would see how much you have to pour into these babies. We do it for the love of the breed. Breeding Sphynx is not like breeding your typical barn cat.
The cost of Kitty Litter and Food will be minimal with only a few babies around the house. HIgh quality grain free food will also encourage your Sphynx to eat less, keeping their body lean, and saving you money in the long run.
In my opinion Sphynx are not harder to keep then any other pet. I personally think they are easier. You never have hair on your furniture. You do not have to brush them. You do not need a lent roller. Just wash them once a week then your done. It is actually easier then it sounds if you only have a few fixed non-hormonal cats. Keeping unfixed hormonal Sphynx is a different story! Just imagine a hormonal teenager!
These cats loving personality make all the work worth it. For information on caring for your new Sphynx visit:
