It's sad that I have to write this article. Society is increasingly using the internet to buy things. There are some people who are trying to take advantage of honest hard working people. I am writing this article because I have seen pictures of my own cats on other peoples ad's. I have even seen my own marketing tactics used!
Never trust someone who simply places one ad online. Even if you talk on the phone with them. I called a scammer who was usings my kitten! They even answered for me! Telling me yes they still had my little boy Available! I said that is interesting. He is my cat! So please verify they have a real site. Please verify they are TICA/CFA registered. These things are so important.
If someone gives you a P.O box it is a red flag. Run! If someone ask you to Western Union Money I would be skeptical. Look at the email. Scammers usually have emails that are unrelated to their content.
Scammers often have flashy ads saying HYPOALLERGENIC SPHYNX KITTENS! $300 dollars! Sphynx are not Hypoallergenic. No cat is. Some cats are better for people with allergies. The Sphynx being one of them. No Sphynx breeder can sell a kitten for $300 dollars! We would go bankrupt. If a deal sounds too good to be true chances are it is! Ask to see more pictures of the kitten you want or even video. Scammers steal other peoples photos so they typically only have a few. Ask about contracts. All reputable breeders will have a contract. Ask if the Breeder HCM scans. If they say yes ask them who their cardiologist is this is something most scammers will not be able to answer.Please notify us if you see any of our kittens online. None of our pictures can be reused under false pretenses. We have no problem with people wanting to share our cats we actually encourage it. Just give proper credit to our cattery.
